During the entire journey, you heard different kinds of bird sounds. When you reach the pine forest, you feel the beauty and happy ending of your trek. The route to the Pine Forest via our home stay will feed your eyes with the local habitant of Charkhole and I am sure it will awesomely pleasant to witness.
360 degree View point
From our homestay in Charkhole, it will take 15 minutes to walk. You will reach the top of Charkhole, and from here you can see Siliguri, Kalimpong, Darjeeling, Namchi, Nathula, and obviously Kanchenjunga. The road is a little narrow, but you can walk it. To reach the view destination, you need to walk via two other homestays where you have chidren park to rest as well as relax then resume, enjoy walking to get that fantabulous 360 surrounding degree view but you need to rotate yourself.
Urgen Pema Choiling Gumpa
This Gurung Gumpa (monastery) is the first and oldest monastery of the Gurung tribes in India. It was founded in the year 1990.This historical place is just 2 minutes’ walking from our homestay in Charkhole. This Gurung Gumpa was established by Holiness Gurudev Tulka Nama Hoisher Rimpochee. Although this Gumpa is under renovation. The new structure is built just behind the old one. You can visit that place; you will feel calm and peace for sure. From here also, you can see a magnificent view of Mount Kanchenjunga in a clear sky.
Kanchenjunga View Point
A 5-minute walk from our homestay, this viewpoint offers a panoramic view of Mount Kanchenjunga and the snowy peaks of the Nathula Range. You can see Pabong, Samargaoun, Kalimpong, Lava, and Loligaon from here. Basically, this view point is a two storage buildings. The view from the top is amazing. You can see the stunning sun set from here. Lots of tourists from different homestays came here at the time of sunset. So you will certainly enjoy yourself here.
